Solubag obtained the Singularity Award in 2018, given by Singularity University as the Best Innovation in Latin America. The Singularity Award allowed entry to Silicon Valley in California, USA, to begin scaling of the project at a worldwide level.

In addition, the Avonni Award was received in Chile in 2018, as the Best Innovation in the Industrial Design Category in Chile.

In this year, the company, Solubag Chile, was also formalized as a company in charge of marketing water-soluble film products for the Chilean market.
